You've seen the Family Writing Project
website, you've heard Arthur Kelly present on Family Writing
Projects at national conferences, and you've read about Family
Writing Projects in The
Quarterly. Now is the time to become part of
the Family Writing Project movement yourself!
The Southern Nevada Writing Project offers
three day seminars on the UNLV campus in Las Vegas to train teachers
and others to become project facilitators. Participants work
alongside experienced facilitators of projects at elementary,
middle, and high schools in Las Vegas.
As a member of the seminar, you will see how
a Family Writing Projects creates family writers, builds community,
strengthens classrooms and inspires teachers. With the
guidance of our facilitators, you will design your own project, one
customized for your families' needs at your own site.
And, you will come away with all the practical knowledge that it
takes to make your own project succeed.
