Little did I know when I brainstormed ideas for working with families on writing back in the 1990's, that my crazy thoughts would lead to so much creativity and involvement from others, both here in Las Vegas and across the country.

In 2000, with strong encouragement from the Southern Nevada Writing Project, I founded the Fremont Family Writing Project and its Family Scribe Group.   Our successes quickly became the inspiration for others around the Las Vegas valley.  Hundreds of family members have participated in dozens of Scribe Groups at Family Writing Projects in Las Vegas over the last several years.
